- The Dream Machine, M. Mitchell Waldrop. A biography of J.C.R. Licklider who was a pioneer of computing and human-computer interaction. This is an important piece of history that people interested in computer science should learn more about. The main thing that has stood out so far: How much innovation in early computing was driven by the government (specifically the military), and despite this how bureaucracy-free the early teams working in this area were.
- Drive Your Plow Over The Bones Of The Dead, Olga Tokarczuk. A thriller set in rural Poland with an elderly protagonist who becomes involved in a murder investigation. About a quarter of the way through it, it's moving slowly but has held my interest so far.
- Also have been getting into some Agatha Christie lately: The Murder Of Roger Acroyd, and The Death On The Nile. This is my preferred way to relax in the evenings these days.
